about

On the bridge on the edge of eternity, the leader of the Ultranovas met the hero.

The leader says nothing to the hero.

"It's either me or you, scum," the hero taunts.

The leader smirks. He brandishes a blade. The hero aims his gun.

The two converge.

Immediately, there is a fist-to-fist fight. The crowd leans in to see who is doing what. The Ultranova spits and growls, and the hero loses his helmet with a swipe.

A shuffling of feet and hands blur into one figure. One and of the same.

The leader finally pushes the hero to the very edge of the bridge. They lock eyes. Gray and blue.

The gun goes off. The bullet rips through the flesh of the leader. His fingers lose their grasp. But the hero couldn't push him off. He was hurt in the scuffle--a knife to the heart.

He falls, taking the leader with him.

Ultranovas and commoners alike screamed at the sight, and ran to the edge.

Only ripples came after the plunge.

The crowd turns to the sound of a voice singing--the voice was singing during the short battle, and was now singing to them.

The woman was sitting on the motorcycle belonging to the hero. They converge upon her, talking in tongues, asking questions, wondering, fearful.

In a sing-song voice, she yells, "We must remember him. The nameless officer. Our hero." She has to climb atop the motorcycle as their hands reach out to grab her as if she was bread in a famine. She answers their concerns with, "You must follow me. I swear on it."

The Southern District is liberated at dawn.

The hero's motorcycle is shoved into the water, as well as the leader's, as an act of moving on. The ripples lap upon the beach, as they will for centuries.

The woman leads the crowd, and they move on to the other side...
