Near the end of his shift, the hero finds that a man has been riding behind him for awhile. He skids to a stop, and calls, "You need help sir?"

But he realizes too soon the the man did not stop. He wielded a metal pipe, and swings it in the hero's way. He bows out of the blow's path. The hero removes his gun, and points it to the man.

The man stopped, and stares at the hero. He suddenly grins.

"Freeze! You have assaulted an officer!"

He hears more engines. He keeps his gun raised.

A whole group of bikers form behind the hero. He whirls around. He is surrounded.

The gang wears torn, destroyed clothing, as if they have stolen clothes off of the city dweller's backs and ran them through a country dirt road. Their faces are placid, yet dirty. The group is made up of men and women, and yet the hero could not distinguish between them.

He could see the leader, however. A brute of a man, with ripped sleeves, making his leather jacket a vest. His face is scarred by the abrasive material of life. It wasn't hard to see as such.

The hero gets on his bike, and tears away.

The leader smiles. He rallies everyone, and they give chase.

"We will have your head by midnight, you scum!" the leader yells.
